Do you have info on any places with the name Perrymount? My family comes from one such place and a couple others seem to have a possible connection to mine. Below is an excerpt from the article.

As a descendant of James Perry of Perrymount, I have researched records containing the name Perrymount. In this research, I have found three different places with this name and a possible forth, all in Ireland.

The first one I found was my family’s home in the early to mid 1700’s. It was built before 1720 in the western part of County Down, Northern Ireland near the town Waringstown in the parish of Donaghcloney. James, who had previously lived in Lisburn and Belfast, moved to the area with his family between 1711 and 1720. There are several records listing this Perrymount throughout the 1700’s and into the mid 1800’s. After James’ death circa 1756, the estate went to his grandson James Arnold who resided there until sometime after 1814. Eventually, the home was torn down and replaced by a “New Perrymount” which stands today...

Discuss it here.
