I've had this PERRY brick wall for too many years now.

I have little to go on, but my Reuben Perry is father of three known daughters, Frances Elizabeth (born about 1820), Lucy Ann (died about 1843) and Susan M. (born about 1814 and died in Raleigh NC in 1833). I don't have any dates for Reuben Perry but apparently he was living in Raleigh NC in the 1830's. He and son-in-law, Thomas P. Ligon, had a contracting company, Perry & Ligon, of Raleigh, and it was this company who built the Charlotte (NC) Mint in the 1830's.

Reuben Perry is thought to be from Prince Edward County, Virginia, but I have not been able to find census or other records to tell me more about him. Daughter Susan Perry's death notice in the Raleigh Register 10-1-1833 issue lists 'daughter of Reuben Perry, late of Prince Edward County, Virginia'.

I'd be grateful for any leads.
