Does anyone have information on James S. Perry (Birth 22 Apr 1837 New York, death 26 June 1895) who was married to Susan M Swift

Information on James’ parents Robert A. Perry ( Birth 1892 death 17 Jun 1887) or his mother ?Habetable D.? would also be appreciated.

I have some information that may be a little helpful. It gives other names to research a possible connection.

First of all, the name of Robert Perry's wife "Hatetable" was most likely "Mabitable", which is a name that did appear in the early 1800's from time to time.

In the marriage records of Eaton County, MI, several Perry and Swift marriages are listed. Some of these people may be related to you.

Several of these people appear in census records. In 1880 James S. and Susan Perry are living in Barry County, MI. James' info states that his father was born in NJ and mother in NY. In the same county is an Orson Swift of VT and probably not related to Susan.

In 1880, Kalamo, Eaton County, MI was Robert (1812 NJ) and Mahitable (1818 NY) Perry. Nearby was a Samuel A. Perry born in NY as well as his parents. This was probably Samuel Augustus Perry of Rochester, NY. I don't know if he was related to James S. Perry or not. Another family nearby was that of George W. and Margaret Perry. George may have been a brother of James' since he was listed as born in NY and father in NJ. Also in Kalamo was Lemuel P. Swift (b. NY parents-NY) and James H. Swift (b. MI parents-NY). Were they related to Susan? Another Swift family was in nearby Walton, Eaton, MI; D.C. Swift b. NY and parents-PA.
